You can object to this data processing at any time by sending an e-mail to hr@rincoultrasonics.com. In this case, your request will no longer be processed.

Your personal data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it is collected. 5 Cookies

5.1 What are cookies?

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies which are placed and stored on your device using your browser. When you call up a website, a cookie may be stored on your operating system. These cookies are used individually to process specific data relating to you, such as your browser data, location data or your IP address.

We can use cookies to tailor the information and offers displayed on our website to make them more relevant to you. Cookies enable us to recognise visitors in order to make it easier for you to use our website. This also constitutes our legitimate interest in the processing of your data.

5.2 What data is stored in the cookies?

Only pseudonymised data is stored in the cookies we use. When a cookie is activated, it is assigned an identification number. Your personal data is not linked to this identification number. Your name, IP address or similar data that would enable the cookie to be directly linked to you is not stored in the cookie.

5.3 What type of cookies do we use?

Session cookies
We use session cookies. These cookies store a session ID, which enables different browser requests to be assigned to the web session. This means that your computer can be recognised when you return to the website. The session cookies are automatically deleted when you log out of or close your browser. We use this type of cookie to ensure that our website operates and functions properly.

Persistent cookies
We also use persistent cookies. These cookies remain on your computer even after the respective web session has ended. Your computer is then recognised automatically the next time you visit our website and your preferred entries and settings are remembered. These cookies are stored on your hard drive and expire after a set period of time without you having to delete them yourself. We use this type of cookie to improve the usability of our website by storing user-specific settings.

Non-personal cookies
Non-personal cookies, such as statistic cookies, do not transfer any personal data to us. They help us to understand how visitors interact with the website by collecting and reporting information anonymously.

Preference cookies
Preference cookies enable a website to remember information that influences the way a website behaves or looks, such as your preferred language or the region that you are in.

Security cookies
We use security cookies to identify and prevent security risks. For example, we can use these cookies to store information about your web session.

Third-party cookies
We also use functions of certain web analytics services to help us improve the functionality of our website and our online services, as well as to make our website more interesting for you. To this end, cookies from partner companies (“third-party cookies”) are also stored on your hard drive when you visit our website. Further information on the use of third-party cookies is provided under “Analysis tools” (see Figure 6).

5.4 How can you prevent the use of cookies and/or delete them?

Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies. If you do not want this, you can set up your browser so that you are notified of cookies and can accept them on a case-by-case basis. Alternatively, you can block cookies in general or in specific cases. You can also set cookies to be automatically deleted when you close your browser. In addition, you can delete cookies which have already been stored at any time using your Internet browser or another software program.

The procedure for monitoring and deleting cookies may vary depending on the browser you use. More information can be found in your browser's help menu.

The following links provide more information about this procedure for the most commonly used browsers:

6 Analysis tools

6.1 Google Analytics

On the basis of our legitimate interests, we make use of Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google uses cookies.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it is then stored. Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework and thereby guarantees to uphold European data protection legislation (https://www.privacyshield.gov/... uses this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services related to the use of the website and the Internet. Google does not merge the IP address transferred from your browser within the scope of Google Analytics with other data.

We only use Google Analytics with active IP anonymisation. This means that Google truncates the user's IP address in member states of the European Union as well as in other states which are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there in exceptional cases.

You can prevent the data generated by the cookie relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) from being recorded by, transferred to and processed by Google by clicking the following link and downloading and installing the browser plug-in: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-gb. This will activate an opt-out cookie which will prevent your data from being recorded when you visit this website in the future. Please note, however, that you may not be able to make full use of all the website features if this cookie is activated.

Further information on terms of service and data protection within the scope of Google Analytics is available at https://www.google.com/analyti... or https://policies.google.com/?hl=en-GB.

6.2 Google AdWords

On the basis of our legitimate interests, we make use of the online advertising program “Google AdWords”, which is part of Google's marketing services.

If you are directed to our website via a Google advert, a “conversion cookie” is placed on your computer by Google AdWords. These cookies expire after 30 days. They do not contain any personal data and therefore cannot be used to personally identify you. If the cookie has not yet expired and you visit specific pages of our website, both we and Google are able to see that you have clicked on the advert and were directed to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. This means that cookies cannot be tracked across websites by AdWords customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. We do not receive any information that could be used to identify you personally.

The information collected by the cookie about your use of our websites is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA, where it is then stored. Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework and thereby guarantees to uphold European data protection legislation (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).

You can object to interest-based advertising shown by Google. To do so, call up the following link from each of the Internet browsers you use and change your preferred settings: https://adssettings.google.co....

Further information on terms of service and data protection within the scope of Google AdWords is available at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Framework and thereby guarantees to uphold European data protection legislation (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).

We use embedded YouTube videos in “privacy-enhanced mode”, meaning that your user data is not passed on to YouTube if you do not play the videos. Data will only be passed on if you activate the videos. We do not have any influence over this transfer of data. You can prevent YouTube from saving cookies to your computer by changing the relevant setting in your browser software. You will still be able to use the website. However, you may not be able to access all the website functions in some cases.

If privacy-enhanced mode is not turned on, a connection to the YouTube servers will be established as soon as you visit one of our websites featuring an embedded YouTube video. The pages you visit will also be shared with the YouTube server. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, YouTube can directly link your browsing behaviour to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

For further information on the processing of your data within the scope of YouTube as well as your associated rights and settings options regarding the protection of your privacy, please consult YouTube's terms of service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) and privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

Please note that we as the website provider do not possess any information about the content of the data which is transferred or how this data is used by Google. You can prevent the use of Google Maps by deactivating JavaScript in your browser settings. However, you may not be able to access all website functions in some cases.
